The Can - BREWISER PILSNER
The Sugar - BREWISER ULTRA BREW
The Hops #1 - BREWISER FINISHING HOPS – RINGWOOD
The Hops #2 - BREWISER FINISHING HOPS – HALLERTAU
NB. If making a normal 22-litre brew final gravity will be 1012
Instructions
QUICK BOIL METHOD-
For this method you need a large saucepan. Dissolve the Ultra Brew in about 2 litres of warm, not hot, water. Bring it to a gentle simmer giving it the occasional stir. Once you have a controlled simmer toss in the Hops #1 bag and allow it to simmer 10-15 minutes. If the bag breaks (which it probably will) don't worry the loose hops will settle to the bottom and/or stick to the sides of your fermenter and the empty hop bag will do no harm. You can strain them out if you want to go to the trouble, but it is not necessary.
At the end of the 10 minute simmer, remove the saucepan from the heat, toss in the hops #2 put the lid on the saucepan and steep for about 10 minutes. Use this mixture as part or all of the hot water in the original mix (either strained or unstrained).
MID STRENGTH VERSION-
Use 500g powdered malt instead of the Ultra Brew.
